  9. Hi David, I recognise the name, from Preston ? if so you were a damn good dancer…I'd go for Dooley Silverspoon – Game Players, Hossanah – Hiphit, and just for the drum break: T Connection – Do what you wanna do !!!

  16. Fellow appreciators may be interested in my addition . I was lead singer – bass player in the small band Ross Mitchell, who opened the Blackpool Locarno in 1965. The Big Band was David Ede. Great memories. Anyone out there that remembers us? Tony.

  17. |God those escalators, many a happy time going up them, and one time coming down them on a very rare occcasion when there was a bit of trouble, a bouncer picked me up half way down[ i was only 17 ] when there was a fight at the bottom and i ended up on my ass in the street 50 yards away. ..4000 northern soul do's and no trouble but i always remember that ..!!!

  19. You again herringface? Since we all know for a fact that you NEVER ONCE SET FOOT in the Highland Room, why don't you take a flying leap off Wigan Pier, and stop pretending you're anything other than a drug-addled swamp rat?

  21. The most unobtainable 60s Northern Soul rarities, obscure 70s Soul 45s, latest US Disco 12"s, sharpest Funk & Jazz album tracks etc., – and still those who were never actually there question it's validity as the top UK 70s venue!
